Not a care in the world.

This is my 11-year old Labrador aka Big Dude the other night.

I looked over and noticed how he seemed to melt into multiple layers of plushness, utterly unguarded and (anxiety prone me) thought, wow – that must feel amazing.

The good news is that there’s evidence that both imagining being in this state and just being around a four-legged creature in this state, helps our mind be more receptive to allowing this state to become real for ourselves. (As if we needed another reason to love our pets!)

To be in the presence of the innately unselfconscious, the naturally natural, is such a gift.
