
Two nights ago I saw Northern Lights for the first time. My 15-year-old learned they were happening and woke me up to share the news. Together we walked to a nearby park to catch the show in the sky.
It was a bucket list item checked off, for sure; a sight I’d had my heart set on for decades. But eclipsing that was the opportunity to share it as mom and son.
Like the blurred image of him above — he’s often a moving target when it comes to connecting these days, making the memory twice as treasured.
